ArmorZone Portable Water Filled Barrier
The ArmorZone portable water-filled steel barrier meets the stringent MASH TL-2 testing criteria. It's stabilized HD polyethelyne architecture keeps the sytem at an economical price, and it's patented "dual pin" design provides superior deflection when compared with other portable water filled barriers.
Lightweight design, easy to transport, and easy deployment make the ArmorZone an ideal portable barrier solution. If an end treatment is needed, the ArmorZone can easily be used as its own redirective gating end treatment with the optional AZET Kit.
Absorb 350 Crash Cushion
The Absorb 350 Crash Cushion is a non-redirective crash cushion that is NCHRP 350 approved for TL-2 and TL-3 applications.
The Absorb 350 can be attached to the end of portable or permanent concrete barriers and steel barriers without the need to anchor the system to the roadway. This provides for easy and fast installation and repair.
The system is 24 inches wide, making it the ideal option for narrower roads where workspace and road space are limited.
ArmorGuard Steel Barrier
The ArmorGuard Steel Barrier is an NCHRP 350 approved TL-2 and TL-3 moveable barrier designed for short duration work zones. The ArmorGuard provides the best in portability while maintining positive barrier protection.
The ease of opening and positioning the system makes it ideal for fast, short term jobs requiring rapid deployment of the system. There are no expensive electrical power supplies, sophisticated control sytems, or heavy equipment needed to load and unload the barrier.
TAU-II Crash Cushion
The Universal TAU-II Family of Crash Cushions are a full line of re-directive crash cushions that meet both TL-2 and TL-3 NCHRP 350 requirements.
A fully re-directive system, the TAU-II Crash cushions are ideally suited for ends of rigid barriers, toll booths, utility polls, high speed roads with narrow medians, and many other roadway hazards.
The TAU-II system's open architecture reduces build-up coming from roadside debris. This helps keep the system clear of litter and ensure top performance and easy access for maintenance workers.
U-MAD Truck Mount Attenuator
The U-MAD TMA is an NCHRP-350 TL-2 and TL-3 approved TMA designed to absorb energy and prevent underride from errant vehicles, while protecting the tow truck and expensive equipment. After a design impact only the cartridge (see product info sheet below) needs replacing, offering excellent life cycle costs on the TMA.
Designed for performance, the U-MAD has passed all required and optional NCHRP-350 TL-2 and TL-3 tests with the arrow board installed.
The U-MAD is ideal for stationary applications such as guardrail or crash cushion repair where the TMA is operating as a barrier vehicle. It is also ideal for slow moving applications such as striping or sweeping where it is operating as a shadow vehicle.
Trailer Truck Mounted Attenuator
The TTMA-100 uses a patented tube bursting technology to safely dissipate the energy of the impacting vehicle. The basic concept is quite simple. When a tapered mandrel with a square cross-section is forced into a square tube with smaller inside dimensions, the mandrel pushes against the inside of the tube. The outward forces on the inside of the tube concentrate stresses in the corners, creating a controlled cracking of the steel. As the mandrel proceeds forward, the tube is split into four flat straps of metal that are curled outward by the flared portion of the mandrel.
Tube bursting technology allows the TTMA-100 to use the trailer frame as the energy absorber, thus eliminating the need for a separate energy absorbing material. This simplifies the design and reduces the costs of the TTMA-100. Also, the straps of metal have no structural strength and curl up and away from the impacting vehicle, thus eliminating any hazard posed to the impacting vehicle. Furthermore, the straps of metal remain securely attached to the un-bursted section of the tube. Thus there are no detached elements that can be thrown forward at the construction site and pose hazard to workers and adjacent traffic.
X-TENSION MEDIAN ATTENUATOR SYSTEM
The X-TENsion Mediaun Attenuator System (X-MAS) is a TL-3 re-directive, non-gating, sacrificial impact attenuator that combines ease of installation and affordability with no foundation required.
Utilizing standard guardrail parts combined with superior engineering, the X-TENsion median system provide the same performance of an NCHRP 350 re-directive, non-gating sytem at a fraction of the price.
X-TENUATOR CRASH CUSHION
The X-TENuator is a TL-3 re-directive, bi-directional non-gating crash cushion that provides high performance without the high cost.
The X-TENuator is designed to be installed permanently but can also be used on asphalt in work zones where re-directive non-gating performance is required.
Utilizing standard transitions, a narrow body, and ease of deployment and installation makes the X-TENuator ideally suited for shielding narrow roadside hazards at low impact sites.
